Honda has presented an updated Civic in specification for North America. The most popular compact car among “necrossovers” on the continent after modernization received a version with a hybrid transmission, slightly tweaked appearance and new options.

Outside, the Civic has a new front bumper with a hexagonal lower radiator grille and vertical air channels on both sides of it. The grille pattern is made up of hexagonal cells. Before the restyling, the radiator grilles of the Civic sedan and hatchback were different; now they are the same. In addition, diffusers of taillights of sedans became slightly tinted.
The main change of the updated Civic is, of course, the appearance of a version with hybrid drive (previously, the hybrid Civic of the current, 11th generation was offered in Japan and Europe, but not in North America). It is composed of a 2.0-liter atmospheric engine, a variator and two auxiliary electric motors. The total maximum power of the drive is 200 hp, peak torque – 315 Nm.
